About PSFA (Partnership for South Asia)

The Partnership for South Asia (PFSA) was established in 2011 as a Trust Fund funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and administered by the South Asia Region of the World Bank. The objective of this partnership is to contribute to poverty reduction, and sustainable development that benefits both the men and women of the countries of South Asia – namely India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, and Afghanistan. It also aims to build more innovative and effective approaches to development for Australia and the World Bank Group in their shared work in South Asia.
